HDH Associates, P.C. provided contract documents for the roof replacement project for AT & T 51 PCA facility located in Atlanta, Georgia. This challenging roofing project included the tear off of 29,681 sq. ft. of existing built up roof on ten different roof areas. Due to daily service of roof-mounted equipment an Insulated Roof Membrane Assembly (IRMA) was installed consisting of a 4-ply built up roof, extruded insulation, concrete pavers and new copper flashings. The number of roof mounted telecommunication equipment presented the designer and contractor with the challenge of providing a watertight system daily as well as not disruption of service for AT & T. Several upgrades and renovations accompanied the project that included the installation of two 3,000 gallon water tanks, new lightning arrestor system, the removal of existing dish antennas and the installation of new antennas, as well as the addition of several new roof drains and emergency overflow scuppers.
